Kicking off the summertime show season, Woolley & Wallis once again hosted a Trade Stand at the New Forest and Hampshire County Show and welcomed clients both former and current alongside members of the show-going public to their prominent ringside marquee. Accents from far and wide mingled in conversation throughout the three day event, with a dairy farmer from New Zealand taking the undisputed crown for farthest travelled! With record attendance numbers forecast, the Show, which took place at New Park in Brockenhurst, featured an array of traditional attractions, including farm animals, horse and carriage displays including a wonderful musical arrangement performed by the Household Cavalry, falconry and myriad food and trade stalls.
Amidst such diversity the Woolley & Wallis stand was notable for one truly unique feature – an original Victorian Penny Farthing owned by Senior Residential Partner Andrew Donald, who has used it on two successive fund raising bicycle rides. A fine total of £600.00 was collected for Cancer Research UK, generously donated by spectators eager to witness the horsemanship displayed by the Household Cavalry from the close vantage point of the Woolley & Wallis ‘garden’.
The show calendar continues with the forthcoming Ringwood & Ellingham Show, to be held on Saturday 8th August at Somerley Park.
