Woolley & Wallis are delighted that Chris Powell has joined their busy Marlborough office to deal with a wide range of rural professional work. This will include giving advice to farmers, landowners, banks, solicitors and accountants on matters such as secured lending Valuations, taxation, compulsory purchase and compensation as well as on subsidy payments.
Chris qualified in 2013 from Harper Adams University with a degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. He has had extensive experience working in both Shropshire and the Midlands and comes back to Wiltshire where he has family and plenty of connections.
The Marlborough office team has continued to expand and thrive and Chris’ appointment demonstrates Woolley & Wallis’ clear commitment to the agricultural and rural community.
Chris has been working with farmers and has developed a strong working knowledge of rural planning work, Basic Payment Scheme advice and Landlord & Tenant work.
He is working towards his Royal Institution of chartered Surveyors exams this autumn and has already passed the practical exams of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
Chris said, “I am excited at joining Woolley & Wallis and wish to bring the skills I have acquired and to develop them further. I am keen to get to meet as many clients as I can.”
