Agents Woolley & Wallis have reported the recent completion of two substantial and important lettings for Chilmark Estates Ltd, the former MoD site which lies just south of the village of Chilmark, near Tisbury. The ‘Administration Building’, a detached two-storey office building of over 5,000 sq ft and the former Officers’ Mess of approx 3,500 sq ft have both been let to Team Rubicon UK, a disaster relief organisation originally founded in the US which deploys mostly volunteer former military veterans to crises overseas and within the UK . The premises, which have been let on a 10 year term, will serve as the organisation’s planning and operations’ headquarters as well as a training base. Nearby on the Estate the former MT Yard, which comprises workshops of approx 5,000 sq ft together with an adjacent office facility and 0.5 acre of tarmac hardstanding, has been let to Albion Stonemasons who have relocated from Wilton. The company has also taken a 10 year lease.

Ian Hepburn, a new director of Chilmark Estates Ltd commented, “We are pleased to welcome both Team Rubicon and Albion Stonemasons to the Estate and we are delighted that they have chosen Chilmark as a base for their respective activities. We are planning ongoing investment in the fabric of the Estate which has recently included the provision of infrastructure for super-fast broadband as well as improving its overall appearance and we are seeking to attract further businesses to the Estate.”

Woolley & Wallis are presently marketing two other buildings on the Estate. The first is a workshop with good eaves height and a footprint of just under 2,000 sq ft. A mezzanine is currently fitted providing useful additional storage space although this could be reduced in size according to requirements. The agents are quoting an asking rent of £10,000 per annum. The other an office building of over 2000 sq ft, which can be let as a whole or sub divided as semi-serviced offices ranging from around 116 sq ft and inclusive rents from £125 per month.
