Woolley & Wallis Partner Ben Marshall replaces Simon Barker as chairman of the Hants, Wilts and Dorset Branch of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
The CAAV represents agricultural valuers throughout the UK, based within local branches. The Hants, Wilts and Dorset Branch is the second largest in the country with chairman appointed from each of the three counties, taking it in turn to chair the branch. Ben represents Dorset and follows former Partners Jonathan Young, Richard Sharland and John Woolley who have all held office as chairman representing Wiltshire.
The Association provides advice and support to valuers at a local level and consults with the EU and Government at a central level. The Association is led from Central by its secretary Jeremy Moody with presidents holding office annually, selected from the local branches. Paul Lewis formerly of Symonds & Sampson was the last President to have been selected from the Hants, Wilts and Dorset Branch. The current President is Nick Millard of Bruton Knowles from the Western Counties Branch.
