Woolley & Wallis is delighted to have teamed up with talented young Point to Point jockey Josh Cameron for 2017. Josh is in his first season as a Point to Point jockey and is already getting heads turning with his drive and exceptional horsemanship.
The season started well with a second placing on board Petite Rock in the Open Maiden at Wadebridge in December. Josh’s next ride will be at Great Trethew, where he will be looking to secure his first winner.
Josh is based at Chloe Roddick’s yard near Somerton, Somerset, a renowned racing hot spot in the South, with Champion National Hunt Trainer Paul Nicholls based in the area. Chloe Roddick is one of the most exciting Point to Point Trainers in the South of England, as well as being an integral part of Paul Nicholls successful training regime and his quest for further National Hunt glory. Josh as the stable jockey for Chloe’s yard has access to a top string of horses for the 2016/2017 Point to Point Season, making him an incredibly exciting jockey to follow.
“We are proud to be sponsoring Josh Cameron who is thought of as one of the new bright young up-and – coming jockey’s in the South. We hope that he has a successful season ahead with the exciting team of horses he has behind him.” Comments Sophie Clotworthy, of Woolley & Wallis “Woolley & Wallis have a long tradition of supporting local equestrian events and with our expanding specialist Equestrian Team we are able to provide expert advice on all equine property matters from sales to planning issues.”
