Changes in EPC Legislation

Changes in EPC Legislation

From 1st April 2018 we will no longer be able to advertise a residential property To Let unless it has an Energy Efficiency rating of E or above. This means that if your property is banded F or G (unless it is a listed building whereby it would be exempt from requiring an EPC) we will not be able to advertise the property to find tenants. A fine for non-compliance of £4,000 is proposed. Landlords are encouraged to review their EPC’s now and if necessary schedule a programme of works to ensure they are ready for the new changes.

If you would like information on how the EPC changes could affect you and your investment please contact Faye Chandler at Woolley & Wallis Lettings on 01722 424535.
