Chris Powell from the Marlborough office was invited to be part of a panel of experts in front of 230 farmers on Tuesday 22nd March 2017. The evening titled “Farmhouse Professional Discussions 2017” held at Wellington Barn in Calstone, near Calne, Wiltshire was a huge success gained a tremendous amount of positive feedback.
The evening was based around a fictional farm that was easily relatable to the attendees and topics such as business performance, planning and diversification, succession, business structure, agricultural rents, pre-nuptial agreements and Inheritance Tax and more.
Chris provided an experts opinion on the agricultural land and rental market, agricultural tenancies, diversification and gaining planning permission on farm.
The evening was organised by Old Mill accountants and the panel of experts consisted of representatives from Old Mill, Royds Withy King, Farm Consultancy Group and Woolley & Wallis.
