Dispersal Sale - Factory Farm, Fifehead Magdalen

We can report a most successful Dispersal Sale for David and Kathy Jeanes, for whom we recently sold Factory Farm. In conjunction with Greenslade Taylor Hunt, on Tuesday 24 August, the auction of the Friesian dairy herd and farm machinery took place on a sunny and showery autumn day. The Company was excellent and widespread, coming from Cornwall and Herefordshire, but also well supported by many local friends and neighbours in the Blackmore Vale.

The 150 cow dairy topped 2,100 guineas, and averaged 1,200 guineas.

The in calf heifers all averaged over 1,000 guineas and the young yearling heifers averaged 500-600 guineas. The Friesian heifer calves made up to 300 guineas.

All the machinery was sold with a 2008 Case 125 4WD Tractor the highlight at £29,800. A well used JCB 530-70 Loadall made £11,200.
