Throughout the lifespan of a building, defects and other issues can affect the building fabric and structure. The need for a defect specific survey may be required, assessing the issues, likely causes, the repair options and associated costs.
Our Building Surveyors have detailed knowledge of many types of buildings and are able to use this knowledge to undertake defect analysis for the diagnosis of building defects. We also advise on the risk of serious defects and how these may impact upon the health and safety of people, the building’s integrity and disruption to business operations.
Should further intrusive investigations be required, we can organise these to be undertaken with contractor assistance and with permission, open-up concealed parts of a building. We can also advise on and undertake crack monitoring over a period of time to establish continued building movement throughout the seasons, allowing the correct repair method to be adopted.
Our survey reports are flexible and can be tailored to your needs, with information presented in either a narrative report or tabulated ‘database’ format. All survey reports are supported by photographic records and include drawings if necessary.
