Arbitrations

Disputes do happen! Hopefully with careful and patient discussion and negotiations they can be resolved between the parties. It will be less expensive if this can be achieved!

We can provide that professional role of negotiation and mediator. The use of an Agent can give that element of "space" that the parties may need to reflect and consider in order to resolve their differences.

We can act officially as Arbitrator if appointed. We are recognised on the Panel of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and we are members of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers. In some cases the role can be as "expert" which can have the same outcome but be via a less formal procedure. In many cases a Solicitor is essential but we can provide support and professional advice and opinion to enhance your case.

There are usually important legal time schedules to be followed, and failure to do so may prejudice your case. We can assist you and your advisers in following the correct procedures required by law.

The procedures and authority for preparing for and completing an Arbitration is controlled by the ARBITRATION ACT 1996. We can advise you of the terms and consequence to be considered when you are contemplating the ways you have to settle a dispute.
