For once he didn't eat them.... as Bear Grylls rolled up his trousers and trudged into the River Kennet at the end of May along with a gang of excited school children to release over 100 hand reared brown trout into the wild. This was the culmination of months of work, when in January, hundreds of brown trout eggs arrived at both Preshute Primary School, Marlborough and Ramsbury Primary School. The children took it upon themselves to raise this mass of eggs into healthy young fish. The project was run by ARK (Action for the River Kennet) and amongst others sponsored and supported by Woolley & Wallis. | New Forest Show 2007. Woolley & Wallis are proud to sponsor, South Wilts are one of the most successful cricket clubs in Wiltshire with the first recorded game played on the grounds in 1854. The 1st XI play in the ECB Southern Premier League Division 1 and were champions in 2004 and runners up in 2005. They have 3 other senior sides who play in the Hampshire League, and they run a highly successful junior setup from under 9's to under 15's. |
