Despite the Coronavirus pandemic the Salisbury Market Christmas Show went ahead on Tuesday 1st December, where we were delighted to sponsor ‘The Best Handled Heifer’ class. The annual show was well supported by both buyers and sellers, with a brilliant amount of cattle and sheep.
In the class sponsored by us, Sarah Harrison from Bramshaw won both the supreme champion (with a Limousin x Heifer) and reserve champion (with a Limousin x). Both animals were sold to George Collingbourn with the champion selling at an excellent price of 501p per kilo.
In the spirit of Christmas, Southern Counties provided complimentary lunch and hot drinks for all sellers, buyers and sponsors from their canteen. Overall, this was a very successful and festive day.
