New Head of Planning Appointed

Woolley & Wallis appoint New Head of Planning

At the beginning of September, Cliff Lane joined Woolley & Wallis as Head of Planning. Cliff is an important senior addition to the Company’s professional team advising on land and property development.
Cliff has had a long career in town planning. He spent many years in local government – between 1997 and 2003, he was Head of Development Services at Salisbury District Council, a district covering 400 sq miles. He then spent 18 months as a Planning Inspector, working on behalf of the government determining planning appeals. In 2004, he moved to Savills as an Associate Director and became a Director in 2007. He has been a Royal Town Planning Institute member for over 40 years.
He has dealt with many projects in his career – such as planning applications, appeals and promotions. On numerous occasions, he has acted as a planning witness at public inquiries and as an independent expert witness on planning matters.
